Senworks was founded in 2013 to provide an expert consultancy service to schools seeking to review and improve the provision made for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

In 2021 we continue to deliver services to schools across the full range of settings from residential special schools to large inner city academies, in both the maintained and independent sectors.

In addition to consultancy, Senworks offers a wide range of innovative training experiences for teachers, school leaders, SENCOs and teaching assistants. These courses have led to two books on SEND for teachers and teaching assistants. ‘Effective Differentiation’ – a training guide to SEND and inclusive practice for mainstream teachers was published in 2018 by Routledge followed in December 2020 by ‘The Effective Teaching Assistant’ co-authored by Melanie Wright.

In response to the current pandemic Senworks is making substantial changes to its working practices to ensure all services are provided safely and within the current guidelines.
